Miscellaneous (sp?)

So, this post is a little random, lots has been going on... This first photo is from last Sunday, Father's Day... After Todd and Todd Jr had a nice long nap after a hot morning of golfing, we took Dat Dat to Angelo's Steak Pit down on the beach. It was really good, but we were so glad we went early because there were probably more than 100 people waiting when we left... yikes... I am sure the owners were happy with their take at the end of the night!!! We had to take the obligatory photo with Big Gus the 20,000 lb Steer!

We ended up at the beach this Sunday, as usual. The water was great! Dat Dat and Todd Jr snorkeled for quite a while and the evidence of it is there in bright red on Dat Dat's back... lol...
You may also notice in this photo that someone finally got a hair cut! Yes, Grady Joe is no longer a long haired hippie! And, he was PERFECT. He sat still, smiled bunches and carried on a conversation with the nice lady cutting his hair. When she told him he was very cute he said "No, I'm handsome." That's the Grady Joe for you!

The next two photos are some new critters that have taken up residence in the front and back of our house. Todd looked them up and they are called Fence Lizards. This first photo is the baby and he loves the chairs on our back porch. I guess it puts him up high enough to check out the world around him.

This is one of the bigger ones... though not the biggest we have seen. They are so cool... and as long as they don't hop, I don't mind them.... If they would just scare off the big toad that likes to come up on the porch at night!

Happy Father's Day!!!!

Good Morning and Happy Father's Day... Check out the Todd's this morning.... yes, it is only 6:43 am here... The Triple Trouble and mommy decided that Dat Dat needed a round of golf to celebrate. So, these two headed out this morning for a 7:07am tee time. However, I have to share what a hero my husband is not only for all his love, support and understanding over the years, but because he rescued me from the FROG in our kitchen this morning... I swear this stuff does not happen to other people.

I was upset that this photo was not clearer... it is hard to tell on the thumb nail... Here are Grady Joe and his Foe Foe... we miss you Foe Foe and cannot wait to see you in July! Check out Grady Joe's shirt... it says "stud" and has a picture of a muffin... he, he.... I am sure Foe Foe would say it speaks for both of them:)

Here is Dada with the once chunky Grant... we hope all is going well in TX and hope to see you VERY SOON! Thank so much for being my Moffitt chauffer!

Haircuts

So, yesterday, I decided it was haircut day! Have any of you noticed how ridiculously expensive a child's hair cut is? Well, we often drive by a little barbershop that advertises $8 haircuts... so, I decided to try it out. (There is actually a great kids cut place here in PC... great themeing and everything... I have shown it before... but their cuts are $12... too high.) They were really nice and did a great job.... Here you can see Grant in a before photo...
And here is after. Now, this is not his first haircut... that was at the Magic Kingdom, if you will remember.... But, the girl who cut his hair did a great job and he was really good... the only problem was that he kept rubbing his face and that inevitably meant that there were little blond hairs up his nose... seriously annoying! Now though he looks like a little boy... not a baby. Todd Jr also got his hair cut... and he looks handsome as ever... I did not realize that I did not get a photo of him... Sorry... I will try to get one tomorrow
What about Grady? Well, I am sure that Grammie, Aunt Grace, Mason and Grant could answer that question for you. Let's just put it this way... he will have to stay our long haired hippie until Dat Dat, the enforcer, can go with us... maybe we will try this weekend. Wish us luck!

DePORTation!!!!

So, Monday was the day.... I have been dePORTed but allowed to stay in the country...lol...
Here is a photo of what it looked like before... yes, that horrible thing spent 8 months in my chest...
This is what it looked like after I took a hammer to it... by the way Foe Foe, you were right... it was really hard to break apart, but I was determined... I was just really bummed that it did not shatter into a million tiny pieces... oh well, it felt really good to swing that hammer!

Thanks again to everyone for all your support and prayers.... All my love... The Nat

Oh, what a face!

And this is the pouty lip you get when you tell him not to throw golf balls across the room... check out how I found him in his crib.... I am just glad he was still in his diaper... and no, he did not have the golf ball in there with him... he found that when he got up....

"I go playground, fwing high!"

Yes, I spelled the title correctly... it is Grady Joe speak in response to the question... "Grady, what do you want to do today?" So, look what we did today!!! Yep, today was a playground day. It was certainly Warm with a capital W! But, we had a good time. The swings were a big hit... but then again, when aren't they?

This Sunday was tons of fun! We went to Shipwreck Island Water park with some friends and we had the best time. We went on the family raft ride (you should have seen Grady's face, he was so tense on the journey down, but he LOVED it), the lazy river, and Grady and Grant both got to go on the mat ride with mommy and Dat Dat... Grady even got to go a second time, but after almost drowning Grant, he had to sit out the next round. Todd Jr is doing a great job with his swimming and we all spent most of the time in the kid area... Grant kept pushing us away and going up steps and sliding... Fun Fun Fun!!!!!
Also, I am not sure if I have adequately stated how I feel about my port.... I HATE (a word we are not supposed to use, honestly I am not sure if it is even strong enough to convey my feeling) the d<mn thing! It is time to get rid of it... I will be going to the hospital on Monday to finally get the vile thing removed from my body!!!!! Woooooooo Hooooo!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait!!!!!! Wish me luck!!!!

Rub-a-dub-dub... Three Boys in a Tub!

Yummy, huh? As with almost any meal at home, you have got to take off Grant's shirt... he is still very messy... he had this donut all the way up his arms to his shoulders... there was even icing on his back!

Yes, we decided it was a donut morning... no, Dada, not Krispy Kreme, though you know how much I love them and have a hard time resisting when the "hot now" light is on... we went to a local place downtown called Dan D's after we dropped of one of the vehicles for an oil change. It is no KK but they are very good donuts and seem to have every flavor under the sun... they even had a pineapple fritter... maybe next time!
Grant at one whole donut, Todd Jr consumed two and technically Grady only had one... but check it out... I swear it equaled three... and he ate the whole thing!

Yes, after the donuts they looked like they needed a bath, but this photo was actually taken the night before. You would think it is easier to bathe them all together, but no... this was before the chaos ensued.... This week has been okay except for the rain which we hope will not be around tomorrow since we are headed to Shipwreck Island waterpark with some friends. Hopefully I will remember the camera... Uh oh.... better run... Grant just got put into time out and the Red Wings are on... I'm a Wing Nut!!!

Do you think they were tired?

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Summer is here again and I am afraid that there is not enough diet coke and Red Bull to give me the wings I need to keep up with the Triple Trouble. No matter how much I intend to be organized and plan things to do, I fail miserably. We have gone to the park a few times already... running, throwing the football, kicking the soccer ball, etc. Sunday we went to church, Pier Park to walk around, St. Andrew's State Park to go swimming, and then to Pineapple Willy's on the beach for dinner... yummy fried shrimp! My hair is still growing at a snails pace... at least I think so! I have had several strangers stop me and tell me how much they like my "haircut" I am going to assume all cancer patients or at least women get that a lot. While I appreciate the compliments and I enjoy how easy it is to "not" take care of... I still miss the long hair... I feel like it is going to take forever....
Well, we had so much fun yesterday, there was obviously NO time for naps... that is until they hit the car.... nope, no one is faking... there was LOTS of snoring happening during the 20 minute ride/gas pumping trip home from the beach. So glad to have the minivan... so that no one is squished and uncomfortable... well I guess Todd Jr looks a little uncomfortable.
We are looking forward to another full week. Basketball camp started today for Todd Jr. Todd's friend Sean is coming to hang out on Wednesday, we have trips to the park planned and a first visit to Shipwreck Island Waterpark down on the beach on Sunday. Y'all have a great one!!!
PS... Go Redwings!!!!!!! I agree with Aunt Nancy... I taste Penguin!!!!!! Awesome fight at the end of the game last night!!! I'm a WingNut... the world according to Dat Dat.
