Good News!

Hello All,

I am sure most have you have heard, but for those of you who have not... I had a PET and CT scan two weeks ago. The PET was NEGATIVE... that means no malignancies. The CT scan was good also, my lymph nodes only measured a little above normal. The best news of all... only one more cycle of CHEMO instead of three!!!!! I had the first infusion yesterday and will have my last dose of poison on Feb 9. I also will begin 3 weeks of radiation in March.

Dada went with me to the appointment and I think we were both in shock. We were expecting good news... but not that!!!

There is more exciting news. Grant is walking, he gets the biggest kick out of himself when he does it, he is very cute. And while he may be a Mommy's Boy, his two favorite things to chase are Bogie and Frankie (Grammie and Dada's cats). He and Bogie are really good friends... Sorry Grant, no cats for us... Mommy doesn't do litter boxes.

Even more exciting news... Grady is becoming a champion of the toilet!!!! For some of you who read this you may think that is TMI, but for you parents of toddlers you know how exciting this is... not to mention a pay raise (NO MORE DIAPERS)!!!! We are not all the way there yet but we are inching ever closer daily. He has woken up dry the last 3 nights and has been going number 2 for almost 3 weeks with only one accident. WOO HOO!!!!

Well that is enough for now... I had chemo yesterday and am looking forward to going home on Saturday... I miss my Todds so much. Thank you all for all your prayers and support... as you can see, they are working.

All my love,
The Nat

Happy New Year!!!!

Happy New Year!!! We had quite the party to kick off the new year on Monday, December 29. We celebrated early so everyone could participate. Unfortunately Natalia had to ring in the new year in bed as it was her bad week. And the rest of us were in bed sleeping in the new year.

I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas. This year was great, our family got to spend three weeks together. After all the time apart, Doodah and I traveled down to the Bay for Christmas with Grammie, DaDa, Corey, Grace, Mace Face and Maddy. We had a blast being able to vist with everyone and being a family together again. Luckily Doodah wrote Santa to let him know that we were staying at Grammie and DaDa's. We made sure to leave out the cookies and milk but forgot the carrots for the reindeer. Of course the boys enjoyed the presents. Here are some pictures.

Christmas morning came early and the boys were awake but just enough to open the presents. Gant Gant showed off his mad present opening skills by tearing into his new toothbrush with his eyes closed. He was a very good sport and did very well for his second Christmas. He received plenty of toys and will have quite a bit of fun playing with them in Grammie and DaDa's living room. Too bad none of them make alot of noise.

Grady got a brand new baseball glove. I think he is going to be a natural. Just look how he wears that glove...wait a minute isn't that on the wrong hand? And I thought he would be my retirement plan.

Doodah got a pirate ship for Christmas. It is cool and has a cannon that actually shoots out plastic cannonballs. On second thought the dog has become the Kracken and doesn't like to be shot at from the Black Pearl. If only Captain Jack was here to give Doodah some guidance or if Robin knew how to call for a parlay.

THANK YOU Grammie and DaDa for letting us stay for Christmas. It was great to spend time with you, Grace, Corey, Mace Face and Maddy. Everyone enjoyed themselves. What wonderful grandchildren.

For those who might not be aware yet. I have shaved my head for a serious cause. I shaved my head to support my father in law, Foe Foe, for male pattern baldness. Wait a second, wrong cause, sorry Foe Foe you will have charge on without me. But truely, I have shaved my head until Natalia is cured. I figure if she has to lose her hair I might as well lose mine (Sorry Foe Foe, yours has been gone too long to use this excuse). It will grow back once she is cured (most likely thinner and greyer - if that is a word). Today marks the half way point for Natalia. It seems like it has been so long but we are finally half way through it. She has been so strong and brave through this time and all my thoughts and prayers are with her. This will be her bad week and I hope some of these pictures and funny thoughts will give her a break from the sickness she will feel this week. She will have a CT and PET scan later this week and good news next week when she meets with the doctor. Honey, I wish I was there to support you, please give yourself a kiss and hug from me. Also, don't forget get the boys after you get through with all of yours. I want to thank all of our family and friends who have prayed for Natalia, it is working. Please keep it up.
Thanks and God Bless,
Todd
