A Decision Has Been Made!

In our home very important decisions are made and STUCK to!
And, this one is a biggie... yes, I know it is only May but the boys have already decided what they are going to be for Halloween.
You see, since Todd Jr and Grant have their Birthdays right around Halloween, it is a pretty big deal around here.

Grant has been walking around for WEEKS telling everyone he encounters... "Me Neen Nanturn!"
It is so cute!

(Grant is currently watching me post this and yelling "THAT ME!!!!!!")

Grant also loves to tell everyone who the rest of us are...
Todd Jr is "Fash."

That is Flash Gordon to you and me.

Grady Joe is "Pooper Man."
(Grant just screamed... "That Pooper Man... That Grady Joe!!!!)

Dat Dat is supposed to be Batman.
Unfortunately Dat Dat is too tall to borrow Todd Jr's costume from a couple of years ago.
And I get to be the little known Hawk Girl.  I actually think it would be cool to be Wonder Woman, but Aunt Grace has laid claim to that powerful Amazon.

Now, I know what you are thinking, they are little boys and they are likely to change their minds a dozen times before October and maybe even a dozen more once Walmart, Target and Party America are filled with Costumes.  However, I think they will stick with these... last year they made their decisions early on... Grady decided in April that he would be Indiana Jones.. and, well, you have seen last years Costumes.
Anyway, I thought you might be interested... and we will all see how it turns out... now if we can only find an adult Hawk Girl costume... I guess I could be short enough for a kids costume... wish us luck!

Long Day...

We hope everyone had a great weekend!
It was strange not having soccer on Saturday.
However, Sunday... Todd and I were up VERY early... running ourselves ragged with a little mission we have... oooooo.... are you curious?
Then, I had work from 11:30 to 6:15.....
Where I promptly told anyone who walked in the door after 5:45 to take a hike and get....

okay, not really... but that is certainly what I ran home to do!

So sad that it is all over, but Todd had it all figured out from early in the first season...Purgatory... honestly, it was hard to argue with and I had to agree.

Now, what ever will we do with our Tuesday evenings?
Continue to run ourselves ragged, go to basketball practice, football practice... and well anything else we can find to get into!

The End....

of another Soccer Season.
The game was pretty good, even though the Jedi lost.
Check out Todd just before he scored the first of his two goals of the game.
Just one more and Dat Dat would have thrown in his hat!

We had a nice little party after the game... all the boys got their trophy and an official Jedi Master Certificate!

Todd jumped in to the photo with his good buddy Sean and the Coach.

Check out this cake!
The assistant Coach's mother made this... she doesn't even do it professionally.. just for family!
It was really amazing and tasted pretty good as well!

So, for the summer so far we have...
Tampa to visit Grammie and Dada... and get my yucky PET scan.
 Basketball league
 British Soccer Camp
also planning to include a trip to New Orleans and hopefully we can visit Beeka Beeka and family in Montgomery!

Never a dull moment in the Harris Home!

Happy Mother's Day!

...a day late!

Mine was Great!  How about yours?
One of my sweet co workers offered to work for me and gave me a couple of her shifts as well to make up the hours.  So, I took her up on the offer!
And we had a so much fun.

We started off the morning at Church.
We went to the early service, and while waiting for Father Joe to arrive at the altar, Todd Jr. looks at me and says, "Mommy, where were you born?"
Now, he has asked this before, but honestly, it isn't easy to remember, or say for that matter.
My response, "Opelika, Alabama."
(Foe Foe was attending Auburn University at the time.)
Todd Jr. reflected on that for a moment and inquired, "Do they speak another language there?"
Now, you must understand, that as much as I am certain that my husband loves me, my Southern Heritage is a never ending excuse to tease me.
So, knowing this banter between mother and son would bring great joy to Dat Dat, I decided to share with him the conversation up to this point.
Thankful that we were in Church, Dat Dat muffled his convulsive laughter and looked at Todd Jr and said, "Yes, Todd, they do!"
I admit I had to laugh too.
Then Todd Jr. asked, "Can I speak that language?"
Dat Dat and I in unison said "Yes, fiiiiive, niiiiine."
(For those of you who don't get this at all, when we lived in AL for the 6 months we were waiting to move here... Todd Jr added a little twang to his "accent"... and the numbers five and nine were particularly affected.

Guess you had to be there.

Any who.... after Church we headed to the Beach!!!! It was a beautiful day... bright and sunny even though the breeze was a bit cool.
Todd Jr. played on his skim board.

He and Dat Dat played Football.

Grady found himself a place to lounge and make "soup," a special mixture of salt water and sand.  Yummy.

We even observed some marine life.
The photo of this hermit crab does not do it justice.
It was HUGE!

After the beach we headed home for a while, so Grant could take a nap.
Then, off to Chili's for dinner!

Now is that a sight or what.  What a lucky Mommy I am!
Our server was very sweet, and very pregnant with her fourth, a little girl.
She asked if we were going to try for a girl.
The question does not sting as much anymore... just wish it did not have to asked.
Proud to be a mommy of FOUR beautiful children!

Hope you had a great day!

I sure did!!!!
