Guess who has an ear infection?!?!

For all of you that know our tube filled past, you might think it was this one... and while he could have an infection (one never really knows ... he has had so many, he is seemingly numb to the pain) it is not actually Grady this time... however, checkout that hair cut!!!!!

No, this time it is Mr. Wigglesworth!!!! It is a bit like deja vu... I was wondering as I drove away from the doctor's office..."if Grant needs to get tubes and Grady has to have his done yet again (a very likely prospect), could we get a 2 for 1 deal?" You know it never hurts to ask... or maybe Grady could at least get "frequent flyer miles" or maybe buy 3 get the 4th one free...

We did get measurements today for Grant... 14lbs 5 oz and 25 1/2 inches long... He still has an appointment on June 3, so we will get more information then.

Also, I announced to Dat Dat my desire to move to Iran... gas is only $0.41 per gallon... Personally, I think it is an idea to be tossed around... however, Dat Dat shot down that notion pretty quickly!!! Oh well...

An Epiphany!

While I am proud to say I have a college degree, sometimes I am a little slow on the uptake... Personally, I think it has something to do with all the brain cells I have lost from sniffing laundry detergent and the toxic fumes emanating from the special gifts Grady and Grant leave in their diapers. In any case, I had an epiphany today... I have been in such a quandary about what to do with the boys this summer... Todd Jr. is really a good boy, but that whole idle hands cliche rings true with him (I cannot remember the whole saying... but I think it has to do with getting yourself into trouble when you are not otherwise occupied... see, laundry detergent!) . Also, I am not okay with parking the boys in front of the television to play babysitter!!! So, I have decided to create theme weeks... the beach, America, different animals, and of course Pirates!!! What do you think? I thought Todd and I could come up with different crafts, themed worksheets, themed snacks, bedtime stories, outings, etc. Any ideas would be GREATLY APPRECIATED... also a few prayers that my head will still have few strands of hair left by the time Todd Jr. returns to school in August... XOXO The Nat

Sandy Beaches and an evening with the Pirates!!!

Today was another BEAUTIFUL day in Panama City. On the advice of a friend, we decided to check out the St. Andrews State Park... Wow! and we thought we had found a good spot!!! There is a great area called Jetty Beach where the kids and their cautious (ie. paranoid)families can swim and play without all the crashing waves... however we did "encounter" manta rays and hermit crabs...
Grant even got to put on his swim suit today and check out the water... even if only with his cute little toes... Tell me that is not a good looking baby boy!!!

Grady's 2 favorite chants are "Beach, Beach, Beach, Beach" and "Nak, Nak"... well today he again had both at the same time... today on the menu was a fan favorite... sandy flavored Doritos...

After a wonderful time at the beach and a good nap for Grady and Todd, it was back to the beach to see the Panama City Pirates take on the Atlanta Silverbacks... the Silverbacks were a bunch of whiny babies... Grant was better behaved than they were... but in the end we lost 0 to 1... Basically we SUCKED!!!! Yet, the real highlight is the mascot... check him out... He could really give Johnny Depp a run for his money... okay we maybe not... but always remember... DEAD MEN SCORE NO GOALS!!!

Grady is always so excited to see the "Pirate..." So, mommy hunted down Capt. Jack for a meeting of the pirate court... however while Grady was thrilled to see him and kept saying "pirate, pirate, pirate," he would not go anywhere near him... Never fear... Todd Jr. stepped on deck and had his picture taken with good ol' Capt Jack!!! Yo ho, Yo ho a Pirates life for me...

WOW!!! Six Months!!!!

I cannot believe it has been six months already. So much has happened in such a short period of time!!! Grant will be going for a check up on June 3 and we will post new stats then. I did actually sneak in a weight check when I took Todd Jr to the Dr. last week... he weighed exactly 14 lbs... with a wet diaper and clothes on... I just checked in Todd Jr's baby book... he was 16lbs 6oz at 6 months... oh well... Grant is just a tiny little man... who would have guessed at a birth weight of 9lbs 3oz... I guess it is all the wiggling...

Also, Happy Belated Mothers Day!!!! Our day was a very full and eventful day... Grant's baptism went really well. He slept until we dressed him right before go time... he thought all the attention was pretty cool and the water on the head was no issue (we did not really think it would be since he LOVES his nightly bath.) We had lunch at Mori, where Grady was not so sure about the flames but gave the chef a high five anyway... Later, after everyone had a nap, we went bowling.. the weather was not too great for the beach, so we decided to do something a little different... Dat Dat and I passed Grant back and forth between frames... we all had a really good time, except that Todd Jr. really wanted an X!!!

Todd's Last T Ball Game

Dat Dat was acting coach this evening... Coach Daryle had a graduation to attend... Everything seemed to go smoothly... With only one really close call while pitching, Todd Sr. made it out alive and unscathed!

Today was the last T Ball Game and we are sad to see it end. Tomorrow is the last day for soccer too!!! Wow how time flies!!! School ends in 2 weeks and then summer is upon us! We have big plans for soccer and basketball camps as well as swimming lessons!!!

We actually think little Grady Joe would like swimming too... especially after last weekend at the beach... we had to keep chasing him so that he would not run into the water after Daddy took him in the first time... Dat Dat calls him a little sea monkey now... alas, those darn ears... looks like there is the great potential for a fourth set of tubes!!! Grady has also decided he loves all things lion and Lion King... secretly I think Dat Dat is getting him geared up for football season... Go Lions!!!!

I am so hungry I could eat a lion!!!

Even if it is just a toy!!!

Actully, Grant is a pretty good eater... I am not sure if he is gaining much weight, but everything seems to be in working order!!!

ATL

Last night was T-ball... Todd Jr. did really well, he did not even need to hit off the Tee!!! As a matter of fact, he almost took off Coach Daryle's head with his first hit!!! It was a rather exciting game, one kid on the other team broke is aluminum bat... the ball went one way, half the bat went into the infield and the handle was still in his hand... it took him a few seconds to realize what had happened and head to first base...

After the game we decided to get a bite to eat ... by the end of the meal, Todd Jr and Grady Joe were loopy on ice cream and pickles (yes, I said ice cream and pickles!) and Todd Jr started throwing gang signs and singing "Party Like a Rock Star!" Dat Dat and I about wet our pants laughing... luckily we remembered we had the camera. And of course once Todd Jr started, Grady had to be in on the action too.

(Check out the ice cream bowl with the pickle in it!!!)

Grant also thought everything was funny!!! Much to his dismay, there was not any ice cream for him... he had to settle for butternut squash. However, he got his revenge, lets just say the the carseat had to be stripped, washed and disinfected when we got home!!!
