Spring School Photos

So, Wednesday was school picture day. Tuesday evening had set out a nice outfit and Todd Jr was nice and clean and wanted to have his hair spiked for the photos when he got dressed the next morning.
Now Todd and I are always telling him not to "monkey around" in the house, there are too many corners, heavy objects and glass shelves. Well, a friend stopped by quickly to drop something off and Todd was so excited that he had to show off that he could jump around on one foot. I had my back to Todd and all of a sudden Melanie, our friend, had a concerned look on her face. I turned around looking for Grant, thinking he'd had a nasty fall or been attacked by one of his older brothers... but no... it was actually a sight I had witnessed before... when Todd's head came in very close contact with a ceiling fan... his face COVERED IN BLOOD. He had fallen and hit his head on the corner of our VERY HEAVY dining table. Check out the cut right in the center of his forehead. So, we will just have to see how the pictures turn out:) By the way, he is perfectly fine. All three boys have heads as hard as bricks. However, I am thankful he did not have to get stitches this time.
Looks like we are at the beach doesn't it? Nope, the back yard in the retention pond. In general it stays completely dry. If it ever does collect water it is usually gone in a matter of a couple of hours. Todd and Grady love to play in it with their friends. Can't wait til it warms up a little more so we can go to the beach.

Happy Mardi Gras!!!!

Yes, even here in Panama City they get into the Mardi Gras spirit... or at least they try! The boys and I went to the children's parade on Friday afternoon and the whole family went to the St. Andrews parade on Saturday... it was really a beautiful day, if not a little on the cool side. In this photo of Grady Joe, you can see he is trying to do his best Mr. T impersonation....

Todd Jr was a little chilly but waited very patiently for the parade to begin... It felt a little like we were back at Disney... What time is the 3:00 parade??? Well, of course it depends on where you are standing... unfortunately we got it wrong and were at the end of the route, so the 3:00 parade turned into a 4:00 parade... not especially easy with the Triple Trouble, but we survived.

Gant Gant even got in on the action. We let him out of his stroller while we were waiting, but we had to keep chasing him... needless to say they all slept very well on Saturday night...

Dat Dat and his Grady Joe... "Protect me Daddy," that was Grady's mantra for the day. There was a house... the yellow one in the background... and the revelers there kept shooting off a cannon. Scared the piss out of all of us.

Dat Dat and all his boys! We really did have a good time. Todd and I were just glad we both took hats with us!
Also, we did not get a picture because he changed so quickly after the service, but Todd Jr served as an acolyte for the first time this last Sunday. He was so handsome and so good. Really at this point he is only an observer, but we are so proud.
Have a great day... oh, I tried to find a king cake today... I failed miserably... maybe next year!

Happy Birthday Esme

Everyday is a struggle, Esme's life and death are with us daily. However, there is something about this particular week that makes the struggle a little more difficult. We can remember where we were, what we were doing, what we wanted to do and what we were helpless to do. For myself, I know I am always trying to remember all the little details, her hands, her feet, her hair... all of her. I just know I miss her and I know the world is missing out because she is not here. Happy Birthday Esme... we miss you.

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!!!

Look what cupid brought us for Valentine's Day!!!!! Yep, a new Car!!!!!! It is a 2007 Kia Sedona and we are so excited. We are especially excited for Todd Jr because he is no longer crammed between Grady and Grant in the back seat of the Vue!!!!
Actually our Valentine's day was very eventful, not only did we get a car but we also went to a Mardi Gras Parade! The only unfortunate thing was that the weather was terrible! Hope everyone is well! All our love, the Harris Fam

Warning!!! EWWWWW That is DISGUSTING!!!!

I cannot wait to show this photo to a future girlfriend! Poor Grant! This photo was taken about a week ago by his Dada (look, you can tell he waited patiently while Dada had to go get the camera) and he is still not well. We went to see the Nurse Practitioner this morning and he has a severe cold, bronchitis and an ear infection in his right ear!!! Yuck! And mean old mommy took away his pacifier! If it is gonna be bad, we may as well really do him in! Actually, I took it away at the beginning of the cold about 3 weeks ago after I saw a child Todd Jr's age sitting in a stroller and sucking on a pacifier. Give me a break!!! Even though he is not feeling at the top of his game he is walking everywhere, giggling while he does it and he had picked up the sippy cup, he loves to carry it everywhere with him. I won't say he has mastered it yet, but we are working on it. It is terribly hard to see my BABY grow up.

Hope everyone is having a good day... even though Grant has had his set back we are all just glad to be here together in Panama City. ONLY ONE MORE CHEMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
