Food Nightmare!
So, I saw this article on aol.com today. First, well, if you read the article and you know anything about me, then you know what is first... Second, I like green beans, but I will NEVER be picking them up from Walmart again!!!! If this had been me... I might have had to call 911, and then fainted.
Check out the article here... http://www.walletpop.com/blog/2009/07/22/wal-mart-is-that-a-frog-in-my-green-beans/

Changes!
So, what do you think of the new look... leave me a comment and tell me what you think. By the way, Todd Jr. is having a wonderful time wearing out his Great Aunt and Uncle. Yesterday they went to the zoo in Montgomery as well as taking one of the dogs to a training session. Apparently there was also a nap involved. Today there were plans for swimming, piano, and the Art Museum! We hope you are all having fun!

Unooooooooooooo!
Unoooooooo! Unoooooooo! Unooooooo! That is the chant I keep hearing from Grant's room. He is in bed, but instead of crying or calling Mommy, he is saying Unooooooo! Can you guess what game we have been playing every night. We all love to play UNO... well Grant and Grady prefer to steal the cards and run, but we all have a good time. Actually, Grant has decided this week that he would really start talking... the first word was "pirate," much to Grammie's delight, other word's added this week were "Uno (obviously), Grammie, Dada, Foe Foe (which he thinks is hysterical and giggles every time he says it) Me Me, Aunt Grace, Banana, BABY! (he yells when he says baby)"
Soccer camp was a success. This is a photo of Todd and Sean on the last day. Todd had a great evaluation and only came away with two injuries... jammed toe and bruised thumb... Dat Dat and I consider that a major success....
So, Friday evening, I was at the mall and received a phone call. A frantic phone call. Look what Todd Sr. killed. We think it is a water moccasin because we have lots around here... if you can tell any better let us know... but this little bad boy was IN OUR HOUSE!!!!! It tried to attack Dat Dat when he was getting a diaper for Grant! Now you have to understand, Dat Dat feels about snakes the way I feel about frogs... at least his is not completely irrational... since a snake can kill you... (you do know poison dart frogs can kill you too, so my fears are not completely unfounded, but we won't get into that today.) My brave husband took care of him though... notice his head is no longer attached to his body. We have now also conducted some sort of strange voodoo ritual involving moth balls on our back porch. Apparently it keeps the snakes away... maybe it will work on toads too... lets hope. Anyway, again, my husband is my HERO!
Dat Dat, Grady, Grant, Robin and I are currently missing Todd Jr. He has gone to Montgomery to spend the week with Aunt Rebecca and Uncle David. (I love this photo of Beeka Beeka and Grady) They have tons of fun stuff planned to do. We met Beeka Beeka in Dothan at the Craker Barrel to hand off our eldest and enjoyed visiting and had a wonderful lunch... I wish we had thought to take a photo of what we had... my goodness the chicken was good!
Here is another Great photo... Beeka Beeka better watch out once our other boys get old enough to visit, they will take up her entire summer!
I HAD to include this photo as well... WOW... as Grady would say... "Todd is not cute, Mommy, he is handsome!" We miss you, sweetie and we hope you have a FANTASTIC time! Give Beeka Beeka and David a hug and kiss for us! Love you!

Not Surprised!
I knew that eventually the corruption of my eldest during my extended absence would rear its ugly head... That time has come... I grew up in Lower Alabama, I went to school with guys like this... Susan T., you know exactly what I am talking about ... I can see my son's future wardrobe. It consists of ratty sneakers, black socks, cut off denim shorts, a WWE Black T-Shirt and mullet. Grammie and Dada, what did you let your son's watch on television when they were young? Let's just put it this way, John Cena is Todd Jr's new hero... yes, as I am typing the WWE Superstars is blaring from our big screen... My son is officially a redneck... again, I am from Alabama... I know! The worst part... I know who these guys are too... I was told once that "rastlin' " is a guy's soap opera... must be...

Soccer Camp
Today is the first day of Challenger Sports Soccer Camp. Here you can see Todd (making a really weird face) and his buddy Sean. They were so excited to get started. Before we left them for the day they were already filthy and sweaty. Man was it HOT and HUMID! I had to change when I got home... I was soaking!!!!!!! And, of course, both of the little boys wanted to be held the whole time, at the SAME time! Anyway, I think they will have a great time, I just hope they stay hydrated!
As for this last weekend, we had a not so busy Saturday, but on Sunday, this must be getting repetitious for all of you, we went to Church, then to the beach... again, lots of fun and some interesting highlights.... First we found some new critters that live among the rocks of the jetty... raccoons, yes, raccoons... we saw one stealing fish from some one fishing (duh) and another lady said they steal food all the time to survive out there... Second and not as pleasant... there were so many smokers one guy even perched himself next to us in the jetty pool with his cigarette blazing and then tossed the butt into the water... what a butthead!
If you were wondering if the boys were worn out from our jaunt to the beach, well check out what I found in my bed this morning! Guess who was snoring the loudest... it wasn't the Dat Dat. You should have seen Dat Dat trying to get out of the bed without waking Grady Joe... I should have video taped it... funny, funny....

Welcome Home!!!!
Happy Thursday everyone! Hope all of you have recovered from your weekend of revelry and overindulgence in BBQ! Grant had his 18 month check up yesterday, even though he will be 20 months next week... we are a little off because of my treatment. Anyway, he weighs 23lbs exactly which puts him in the 10-25th percentile and he is 32 3/4 inches long which is about the 50th percentile and the Doctor said he is very healthy... thank goodness!
It has been a little slow this week with nasty weather and the knowledge that the rest of the summer will be quite a whirlwind. So, seeing the boredom in their eyes, we decided to get out a Christmas gift from my sister Elizabeth and her family that had yet to be opened... My First Chemistry Set. We did a couple of the simple experiments, dissolving salt, you know simple things. Then Todd Jr said "what happens if you put these two together?"... saying this and doing it at the same time.... Did you know that if you put citric acid and baking soda together that it makes A LOT of bubbles... it was cool. Science... unfortunately it is WAY over my head. Never did well at all... just ask Foe Foe... you could hear him laughing when I got the Biology Award my Senior year in High School... they had to give out two and Melissa Jordan and I were the only two seniors in the Biology 2 class... I was shocked too. Anyway, we had fun and Grady even got in on making the mess, but when doesn't he.
OK, onto the WELCOME HOME part. In the last two weeks, the state of Florida has quite an influx of Harris family members. Tim, Susan and their little ones returned to Tampa from New York and yesterday, Grammie and Dada have officially become, once again, Florida Residents after FINALLY selling their home in Texas. We are so glad to have everyone back!

Independence Day Pt 2... Because Dada Called and Fussed!!!
So, Dada called when he saw the last post and was not happy about the lack of photos! Well, here are a few... here is a stroll down memory lane...this was Todd Jr at 2... Happy Fourth!
This picture was taken last weekend... I REALLY HATE my hair.. but, at least I have some! It is getting longer and curlier, but not fast enough for me... best part of the picture... the cute little man with me!
Not only did Dat Dat make ribs yesterday for our Fourth of July BBQ but he also made a HUGE hamburger... ok, well, maybe Publix made it... and it is not a real burger, but a CAKE! Yummy! It was a little hard to take in the bites that looked like mustard, ketchup and mayo, but we suffered through and really enjoyed EVERY bite!

Independence Day!!!!
Hope everyone had a WONDERFUL and SAFE Independence Weekend. We sure did! Friday, Dat Dat did not have to work, so we went to the beach and had an awesome time! Saturday we hung around town in the morning and after Dat Dat made ribs for dinner, we headed down to Pier Park on the beach and watched some fantastic fireworks. The neatest part was that when the main show was over there were hundreds of fireworks in both directions up and down the beach. Today was big fun too, we went to church this morning, after the service we got to play with a little 5 month old baby named Nicholas... he was fascinated with the Triple Trouble... his Nicholas' mom is really sweet too and she has a beautiful name... can you guess what it might be? Natalia... lol. After we left church we went to have lunch at Schooners, it sits right on the beach... our server brought the boys coloring pages... we all had fun playing "Tip, Tap, Toe"... that is Tic Tac Toe in Grady speak. After that, we headed to the beach again... dug a big hole in the sand and had a huge water fight... all the boys ganged up on Mommy.
Now, while we had a fun filled weekend the biggest event was the Panama City Harris Family's Declaration of Independence... from Pull ups!!!!! Yes, dear family and friends, Grady is FULLY Potty Trained and wearing big boy pants to bed... we are so proud...
