Guess What Dat Dat Found?!?!?

No, not Grant, but something buried deep within that BEAUTIFUL smile!!!! Can you guess what it is???? His FIRST TOOTH!!!!! Yep, Dat Dat found it last night at the soccer game... by the way, Go Pirates!!!!! While getting a first tooth, in general, is very exciting, I have to admit that all the other stuff that accompanies it - crying, fussiness, screaming fits, drooling, sleeplessness and just all around pissiness - has not been a barrel of laughs. However, Dat Dat and I discussed it, and for the time being, we will keep him around:)

So, does anyone else see any resemblence to his Bigger Bro Grady Joe?

Asparagus

I found this picture and felt it was an appropriate representation of what happened at lunch today... Todd and Grady wanted leftovers from last night... No Problem. So, I heated up and dished out the Thai Curry and rice... While the big boys were eating the Thai and Grant was feasting on some representation of blueberries, bananas and cereal (all the while feeding it to him and thinking I should just dump this in his diaper, cuz it's still gonna look like this in a few hours... YUCK! Heck, I can't even convince Grady to eat it), Dat Dat called... I informed him the boys were eating and I was told to pass along the instruction that all the asparagus from the curry must be eaten... TRAGEDY!!! After some convincing, Todd acquiesced to the pressure, said it did not taste too bad and continued to eat... then in a few moments, he exclaimed in a positive and matter of fact way, as if all the worlds problems had been solved and he no longer had to eat the asparagus... "Mommy the 'sparags' *insert my chuckle here*it won't fit on the spoon." My response... gut wrenching laughter, a call and voicemail left for Dat Dat and a resounding "Pick it up with your fingers!"

Happy Birthday Mason!!!

Grady Joe just wanted to wish his misguided cousin, Mason, a very Happy 2nd Birthday!!!!! We all hope you have a fantastic day!!! By the way... Go Gators!!!

Football Camp

Yep, Todd Jr. went to Football Camp yesterday!!! Check out the video... our boy has "skills," as Napoleon Dynamite would say... He seemed to have tons of fun and Dat Dat had a good time spending the morning proudly watching his first born son and daydreaming of the day his boy will be playing for the Detroit Lions taking them all the way to the Super Bowl in is rookie year having been the first round draft pick after receiving the Heisman trophy while playing for the Florida Gators... one can always hope:)

Happy Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's Day to all those special Dad's out there!!! But a very special Father's Day to our own wonderful Dat Dat!!! Check him out here with Todd Jr. at the long gone Disney Store in Tallahassee... Wow that was a long time ago!!! I don't think Todd Jr was quite a year yet in this photo... What a handsome pair!!!! Todd Jr. also had one of those moments this morning where you would have given your right arm to have the video camera going... Todd Sr. opened his Father's Day gift and cards and as he was finishing, Todd Jr promptly asked, "Is there a Kid's Day?" Hearty laughter from Dat Dat and Mommy followed, giving Todd Jr the answer he wasn't quite looking for... Oh the things kids will say!!
Here is Dat Dat with the Grady Joe. Look how relieved Dat Dat looks... Grady here, safe and sound... Grady has decided to become our own personal instant replay machine... anything you say, he can say better... Just ask the man in the picture... Can you say "Shutup baby!!!" So now when Grant cries... this is what we hear... thank you Dat Dat!!!
Speaking of Grant... He and the Dat Dat have become big buddies over the last couple of days... lets just say lots of snuggles this morning... and while mommy is always thankful to have the helping hands, I have to admit when he is snuggling with someone else, I get a little jealous... So, I made sure he started to fuss in church this morning so that we could go to the rocking chair the church hall and get in our own sleepy snuggles... Sorry Dat Dat!!
Also, we cannot forget our very special Dada, seen here with a not so tiny (9lbs 3oz) Grant... We are all just hoping he and Grammie can sell there house in Dallas soon, so they can be closer to all the boys!!!
And last, but definitely not least, FOE FOE... seen here with Robin, who was probably under the threat of death after this photo was taken, for being on the sofa!!! Foe Foe is undeniably her favorite person... if there was a crowd of 1000 people, she would run right to him... The little boys and I are looking forward to a visit with Foe Foe and Me Me in July... during a recent phone call to plan our trip to New Orleans, Grady wanted to talk to Foe Foe, so I handed him the phone... he walked out of the room, chatting all the way and then all I could hear was Grady screaming "I LOVE YOU FOE FOE!!!! I LOVE YOU FOE FOE!!!" Apparently, Grady had hung up on him but thought if he yelled loud enough, Foe Foe would still hear him... Oh, that Grady Joe...

Take note... Robin Costume from Halloween... I don't think you can see them, but Grady has on mismatched shoes that he insisted upon wearing... the other Robin, hovering in hopes that the little man will share one of the Doritos he just defiantly removed from the cabinet while I ran upstairs to get the camera to catch him saying... Press Play Now... (you can press pause on the music player)... also, you can tell he did not realize I had the video tape on because he kept saying cheese... not only in reference to the chips but in hopes of capturing a lasting photographic memory... I'll also have you know he followed me up the stairs with gooey hands... thank goodness the builders left us with the extra wall paint!!!! He is lucky he is so cute!!!

Grant's Checkup

Before an update on Grant, check out Todd Jr at Basketball Camp... DaDa, Check out the attire!!! He is really having a great time, I am very proud of how well he is listening... he is definitely not the best player out there, but he gives it his all... What more can we ask for!

Ok, on to Grant... we went to the doctor yesterday and luckily the ear infection is gone... yipee!!!! He still needs to finish his antibiotics... let's hope we don't have another one anytime soon... He weighed in at 13lbs 12oz... I know... that is lower than what I reported last week... but yesterday he was weighed with no clothes ... so this is a true weight... therefore, he has only gained 2lbs in 3 months. The NP we saw said she would love to see him pack on a few more pounds, but she is not concerned since he is developing normally and eating so well... I guess he is just gonna be a little man... Otherwise, all was well, and barring anything unusual we will go back in 3 months...
