School's OUT!!!!

Yep... it is that time of year.
Make Mommy Crazy Time
SUMMER!!!!!

Grady had his Pre K Graduation and he was so cute!
They sang and danced.
This is Grady and his friend Olivia.
He was a little embarrassed... but so sweet.
Then the moment came.
What a handsome Pre-K Graduate.
Dat Dat and I are so proud.
This is what the Teachers had to say about Grady...
"Grady was the first boy to receive Student of the Month for our classroom.  He has demonstrated good character and citizenship throughout the year and continues to be one of our best behaved students.  He is always kind and helpful to others.  It is a pleasure to see him in the morning with his beautiful smile and we always know that we are going to have god day with him because that's just how he is.  Academically he has made good steady progress and is ready to enter Kindergarten with confidence."

So Proud!
Also, Todd got his report card this morning.
I am overwhelmed to tell you...
A/B Honor Roll!!!!!!
WOW!
You have NO IDEA!
Mommy and Dat Dat are sooooo PROUD!

So far, Todd is having a great summer...
Football camp.
Need I say more.

Also, he came to me on Saturday and said... the words I have been waiting to hear.
"I am hot, I want a hair cut!"

God Bless America!
So, the above photo was taken last week at school.
He was trying to get "Grady Hair"...
But Todd is just like Dat Dat...
Very Sweaty!
So, after much convincing by Mommy and Dat Dat on style...

Yep... it is a mohawk...
We LOVE IT!!!
Todd cannot stop rubbing his head!
Life is an adventure.
Live it to the fullest.
Happy Summer!

Now that is funny!

Yesterday we braved the crowds and made our way to the beach.

Okay, technically, we braved the long lines and went to the movies.
(But the theater was on the beach.)

To see...
The boys were very excited and we all enjoyed the movie.
Gotta admit, I did not miss Will and Elizabeth and Ian McShane was a great Black Beard.

I suddenly realized this morning... just a bit of irony, coincidence, what ever...
As some of you may know, our little boys room is Pirates of the Caribbean,
and this is one of the posters on their wall...

And more than 20 years ago (gulp), this was the poster on my wall...

As a matter of fact, I had 2 of the exact same poster.

Now that is funny!

An EXPLOSIVE Day at School

Todd's Teacher is a BRAVE woman.

She had each student build a volcano.

And on Monday... lava flowed...everywhere!

Actually, it was a lot of fun.
It was neat to see all the kid's creativity.
I can hardly believe tomorrow is the last day of school.
And while school may be out, luckily the weather that usually accompanies the release of the children has not quite hit us.
Looking forward to a busy and fun summer.
What about you?

Happy Thursday

As usual, lots has been going on here!

We have celebrated Easter...

Yes, we even let Grant dye eggs.

And, of course, the eggs were sports themed!

They hunted eggs in our back yard.

Puppy watched longingly!
She just wanted an egg... She thought it was a B-A-L-L.
We have to spell that word around here.
They hunted eggs at church.

Grant decided he had enough!

Now what I did not get a photo of was Grady's blood stained face and shirt.

What's that you say?

Yep.  Grady got into a fight, in Church, on Easter Sunday!

Ok, not really, another kid in the nursery whacked him across the face with a toy hat and caught him right in the corner of the eye... nice and bloody.. but he was fine, so fine in face that we headed to the beach!

It was a beautiful day and we had a wonderful time playing in the sand and battling the waves!

We have also been busy with other things as well.

Grady went on a Field Trip to the Strawberry farm, and Grant and I went with him.

Grady had a great time... I think his favorite part of all the field trips is riding the bus.

Grady and his "dude" Kaleb.

Picking Berries

Grant was getting in on the action too.

Love that smile.

Of course, there has also been soccer.
Love these action shots!
Todd Jr made two goals in the last game.

Go Titans!
And Finally, a concert!

Todd and his friend, Miles, way to embarrassed to sing the songs they had been working on.

Summer will be here very soon.
What will we do, what will we do?
Beach anyone?
